About

For many years, I called myself a Bible teacher. I now call myself a Bible learner. After realizing who the Spirit is and what the Spirit does, I now commit myself to letting the Bible teach me. I strive to extract meaning from the Bible, instead of trying to prove my ideas with the Bible.

Why do I consider myself a Bible learner? The Lord’s counsel to Job explains it well:

Job 38:1-5  ”1 Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm. He said:  2 “Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge?  3 Brace yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer me.  4 “Where were you when I laid the earth’s foundation? Tell me, if you understand.  5 Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?”

Job 40:1-2 “1 The LORD said to Job:  2 ‘Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him? Let him who accuses God answer him!’”

This blog is a journal of my search for the grace of God. In no way do I intend this to be a teaching blog; it is a learning blog. I share my thoughts only in hopes that it may spark the further learning of others in light of Scripture. I am open to corrections, challenges, criticisms, and any other means of learning, but I desire to be rooted in the unchanging word of God, who does not change. May I not try to change God or His word, but let God and His word change me.

May the grace of our Lord be with you.
