Grace: Let God be God

Who is in control? We humans were created to “rule over” (Genesis 1:27-31). So when we find the grace of God, we somehow start thinking “I can do this.” We start to be in control, marginalizing God to be our co-pilot.

God wants to be our pilot, not our co-pilot. My final stop in Romans along my search for grace is Romans 16:20.

Romans 16:19-20 “19 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil.  20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.”

Accepting God’s grace is not just for our initial meeting with Jesus; it is for our entire life. To know God’s grace means we let God be God. Our job is not to crush Satan. Let God crush Satan.

Our never-ending cry is Jesus take the wheel!
